The making of a Happy Birthday Painting: AB

Hello, hello again.

This was a Happy Birthday painting for a long time friend who I have chilled with, worked with, laughed, cried, boozed up with and smoked a cigar or two with.  The painting incorporates the various elements that are in his life including his wonderful wife, child, San Francisco, hobbies, work, and their new home.  Hope you like it.

Come often, as I am in a hella painting mood :-)

Making of "Watch what you say and do" painting

Hi guys,

I've always been intrigued by a concept of karma as well as how our actions and words impact others over a certain time.  This is a pretty interesting painting in that it explores words and actions and how much of an impact they make.  It could have come out a bit better, but for a first painting in this series it's not bad I will admit :-)

The making of a Happy Birthday gift to a good friend!

Hi guys,

This was a Happy Birthday gift to a long-time friend Myles Ward.  My fiance helped with concept creation along with QA of colors throughout the way.  I think it turned out quite well and signifies the strength and continues growth of his entire family (who I have known for quite some time). Below are the visuals of how the painting came to be from concept design to finished product.

Mothers Day Gift to Grandma Tamara!

Hello friends,

This was a gift to my fiance's grandmother for Mothers Day.  The day was filled with lots of food, drinks, toasts, laughter, and tears of joy.  A small token of my appreciation was this painting I did the day before.  Take a look at some of the pictures from the party and the painting itself.  Hope you like it.

Would you like me to make you a custom painting? Call or email me.

The making of World Arcade!

This was a fun one to put together and explores some pretty interesting concepts.  As you can probably tell I love the concept of nature and the world.  There is something amazing floating around in this Universe and I intend to figure it out.  Help me unlock some of the secrets.  Why are we here? What is out there?

Let me know what you think :-)

The making of World & Fire Mask!

The making of World & Fire Mask!

This was my attempt to venture out into the "outside-the-canvas" realm.  Although painting on a canvas is my passion and something I wish to perfect and keep doing, I often find a curiosity to try something else.  I had this blank white mask at my house for over a year and I finally decided to do something with it and paint a few of my signature concepts, "Earth" and "Fire".

Below are a few snapshots of how it came to life:

The making of Short Circuit Painting

The making of Short Circuit Painting!

This was one of the most enjoyable paintings I have done to date.  It brings back many memories of doodling this memorable "Johnny 5" robot, and so bring it to a canvas was a pleasurable experience for me.

I think just overall I am in a mode where I try to recreate all of my past childhood obsessions onto a canvas...a sort of "Childhood Remembered" as I grow older and begin my own family.

What do you think?

Have a character from childhood you want me to recreate onto a canvas? Please call or send me an email.
